We've been experiencing spam, so now we must moderate the first post of all new members. We're really sorry for the inconvenience, and are working on ways to eliminate the need to do this.

We'd also like to apologize to those of you who might have seen some of the trash that was posted by the spammers.

An update: I've built a new spam-fighting measure into the registration process, designed to weed out automated (i.e., spam) registrations. In hopes that the new thing will work, I've also removed the moderation requirement for first-time posters. New users should be able to register and post straight away.

I appreciate everyone's patience in this. Honestly, I'm surprised it took as long as it did for spammers to take notice of us.
